Well, I'm still stuck on scarves, but I've moved onto Halloween themed! I'll let the photos speak for themselves.
. . . but now I'm scarf obsessed.
All of these were knit with my Addi circular knit machine, with which I have become obsessed. The good news here is I have made a pretty big dent in my embarassingly large yarn stash.
Are you going?
I hope so, because I will be there!
And I have been busy, busy, BUSY knitting and crocheting like crazy to get ready for the show. Below are a few of the items I will have with me.
Show details can be found here.
Saturday September 14th
9:00 - 3:00
Allen Senior Recreation Center
. . . but I think I'm okay with it.
I'm getting ready for the fall shows that are just around the corner, so I've been knitting up a storm. I've made quite a few of these skinny scarves so far and have a few more in the works. I just love how they all look different.
The yarn is by Red Heart and I've found it at most of the local hobby stores.
Next up - coordinating hats and fingerless mitts!
Every once and a while a pattern or project comes along that forces you to stop EVERYTHING you are doing and focus on it. That was true of the Flower Power Afghan. When I saw this I was reminded of the bright colors of the Lite Brite toy I loved playing with as a kid.
Not only are the colors super vibrant and fun, the blanket is soft and warm - simply perfect!
Others have done this same pattern in softer colors such as gray and pink, which makes a beautiful baby blanket.

The Blueberry Mojito blend has been re-imagined into this new mix of purple and burgundy. With this deep and vibrant colorway, it goes very well with other colors, such as Aviation, Pink Lady, and Tequila Sunrise.
Available in both DK and Fingering weights, you can pick up a skein or two on my Etsy shop or on this site.
Happy Yarn Hoarding!
PINK! Who doesn't love pink? This colorway includes three different colors of pink that blend into this lovely colorway. Available in DK and Fingering, this is sure to give your projects a pop! Pick up yours on this site or on Etsy.
Inspired by the many colors of the sky, the gin-based Aviation cocktail captures many layers of blue, gray, and violet. While I personally am not a gin fan, I fell in love with the beauty of the drink and how it reflected the sky, so I wanted to capture that same feeling in the yarn.
This is a softer color than I usually do, but I absolutely love it. It pairs so well with many of the other Friday Night Fibers colorways, but also is strong enough to stand on its own. This colorway is available in both DK and Fingering weight, and can be purchased on this site or on Etsy.
Happy Yarn Hoarding!
Black Magic is a BEAUTIFUL drink and is perfect for Halloween-themed parties. It's a deep, dark black with sparkles of silvery white that shimmer throughout. I decided to use that as inspiration for my next Friday Night Fibers colorway, and I could not be more pleased.
The black is deeper than the Black Velvet colorway, because I died it twice. Yet there are still spots that sparkle and pop throughout the skein. Lovely!
I made 4 skeins in fingering and 4 in DK weights. You can find them in my Etsy shop and on this website.
I have two new patterns for you this month, and both feature hedgehogs! I made the larger one using the 16 inch pillow size that I typically do. However, when I got done, I decided to make a smaller one as a toy. I AM IN LOVE! I plan to make more of these in difference sizes and colors. I'm also thinking about taking some of my other pillow patterns and making toy patters for them too.
Both patterns are available on this site, Ravelry, and Etsy.
