As I was gathering yarn for a new project the other day, I realized just how much I had. I also noticed I had quite a few partial balls left, so I decided to make up a quick project with them.
Ingredients
Several "left overs" of your favorite yarn. Mix and match colors, weights, etc. to suit your taste.
Q hook.
Size
Width - 6.5 inches
Length - 66 inches
Adjust this to fit your needs.
Pattern
R01: Chain as many stitches as you need to obtain the width you want, plus one. HDC in second chain and across. Chain 1, Turn.
R01:. HDC across, Chain 1, Turn.
R02- R??: Repeat R01 as many times as you want to obtain the desired length. As you go, switch up the yarn. In my case I usually tried to change my yarn every 5, 7 or 9 rows, but I was not strict about it. Fasten off.
Fringe: Cut several pieces of fringe about 6 inches long. Attach two pieces of of the fringe to the scarf on the desired row. I attached mine about every 5-6 rows, and on the ends.
